作为奖励和激励的酬劳

If one can “get fired” for poor performance, one must also be able to “get rich” for extraordinary performance.

如果一个人会因为表现不好而被开除,他应该也有机会因为表现特别优异而致富。

Rewards should be directly tied in with the objectives set for the manager's job.

管理者所得到的报酬应该和工作目标息息相关。

It is misdirection of the worst kind to tell managers that they have to balance objectives so as to preserve the long-term earning power of the business while basing their pay on immediate short-range profits.

最糟糕的一种误导是告诉管理人员,他们必须平衡目标,以便能保留企业长期获利能力,但同时却根据目前短期利润发放他们的酬金。
